Current responsibilities
Ben Hanley joined IBM in 2012 as an Asset Management Consultant. Ben has a lead role in developing and delivering business consulting around the following expertise areas:
• Sustainability / Environment
• Sustainable Buildings
• Business Strategy and Development
Ben has Project Managed the UK’s first implementation of a leading system for managing the energy / carbon emissions within buildings. Ben is presently an Application Consultant for IBM TRIRIGA, where he is working with one of the UK’s largest energy consumers.
Past experience
Ben was the Environment Manager at Birmingham Airport, where he led the development of Sustainability Strategy, including supporting the airport’s successful Planning Application for a Runway Extension. Ben was a lead figure in the local community – chairing community meetings relating to airport expansion plans. These meetings were often highly charged, involving local MPs, Councillors and Community Leaders.
