Associate - Supply Market Management
Nicky Wright is an Associate with Gardiner and Theobald in their Supply Market Management team. She began her career within the Oil & Gas sector working on overseas projects in both Angola and Iraq. During this period Nicky worked across a range of Commercial and Procurement roles, developing her knowledge of infrastructure projects and building on her degree in Civil Engineering gained from Imperial College London. Having developed an interest in infrastructure projects, Nicky then worked within the Aviation and Rail sectors while completing an MSc at UCL in Construction Economics and Management. Nicky's economics studies developed into an active interest in understanding markets and working with her clients to help them position their requirements within the supply chain to achieve value, maximise opportunity and mitigate risks around supplier appetite, capacity and supplier financial instability. Nicky is currently involved in the £multi-billion High Speed 2 project, leading the Stations category as Supply Chain Manager. Her role includes designing and delivering the Market Engagement for the Phase One Station’s Contracts and then working with the awarded Tier 1 Station Contractors to manage their supply chain risks and support the extended market engagement to realise economic sustainability through their supply chains. Nicky also recently led the largest public sector client led Market Engagement in November 2020 hosting 2,000 attendees over a 4 day period to connect hundreds of targeted potential suppliers with HS2's Tier 1 Contractors to discuss their forthcoming supply chain opportunities.
