Social impact and community benefit have become defining priorities for infrastructure projects. But while the sector has made significant progress, the conversation is changing.

The question is no longer whether social impact matters. It is how projects can deliver meaningful outcomes that are valued by communities, embedded within project delivery and sustained long after construction has finished.

Over the past year, CJ Associates has spoken with 25 leaders from across the infrastructure sector, representing developers, consultants, contractors, local authorities and infrastructure organisations. Their insights reveal a sector moving beyond aspiration and towards a more mature conversation about delivery, governance, measurement and long-term legacy.

In this webinar, six contributors to the research will explore the report's key findings, share their own perspectives and discuss what needs to happen next if infrastructure is to create lasting value for people and places.

Member-led events sit alongside the Major Projects Association's core annual programme and are designed to be flexible, responsive, and member-driven. While our core programme is set a year in advance and shaped by our Programme Committee, member-led events give us the agility to respond quickly to topical issues, engage new and different audiences, support our member-led networks, and experiment with fresh formats and ideas.

These sessions are distinct from, but complimentary to, our core and flagship programmes, creating additional opportunities for members to connect, share insights and explore emerging themes in the major projects landscape. When held in person, member-led events are typically hosted by the member organisation proposing the session.
