This Round Table is one of a programme which explore the main themes associated with our shared Major Projects Association/Infrastructure and Projects Authority event on 16^th December (Project Pace: Accelerating Major Projects). In the run up to that event, the Association hosted three autumn round tables (early delivery of benefits, consents and planning and productivity) and Project Governance is now the fourth in the series.

Carol Deveney, Managing Director of See Change International Consulting Limited will chair this event which will explore the changing role of project governance. Governance is what ensures every project a cohesive set of collaborative activities; one in which everyone has a role and responsibility that is clear to everyone else inside or outside the project. Despite its critical contribution or perhaps because of it, any approach to governance that lacks imagination or understanding of the vision and critical success factors of the project will create a reporting and decision-making process that acts as a dead weight. What are the implications for governance if we wish to accelerate the delivery of major projects?
