Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, E20 2ST

Sir Peter Hendy CBE, Chair, London Legacy Development Corporation has kindly agreed for a group of our members to go on a walking tour of the park to see some amazing arenas in the Queen Elizabeth Park in Stratford E20 which is now home to the: London Stadium and the Copper Box Arena, London Aquatics Centre, and the Lee Valley Velopark.

The tour will commence at the Arcelormittal Orbit for a presentation and we will then start our walking tour and also visit the aquatics centre and the copper box. This major new development builds on the creative and entrepreneurial heritage of Hackney Wick to create a thriving commercial space providing more than 7,500 jobs on site and in the local community.

We are restricted on numbers going on this site visit, so register your interest early to ensure that you have a place. Please note: there is a lot of walking on this site visit, please wear comfortable shoes.

9.50 am Meet outside the ArcelorMittal Orbit hosted by Rosanna Lawes, Executive Director, Development, London Legacy Development Corporation.

10.00am Ascend ArcelorMittal Orbit for presentation on upper platform

10.30am Descend ArcelorMittal Orbit and start the walking tour

11.30 am Finish the tour at the Here East the technology innovation centre, the former Press and Broadcast Centres for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

12.00 noon Close
