15th - 16th January 2020
Rising Stars Cohort 1
Rising StarsBicester Golf Club
Rising Stars is a two-part seminar for professionals who have some experience of project initiation and/or delivery, and who are ready to progress (or have already progressed) to the more demanding level of managing major projects. Accepted delegates for this seminar will attend Part 1 of the seminar on the 15th-16th January (Cohort 1) OR 28th-29th January (Cohort 2) AND Part 2 in June 2020. This event is not bookable online
Part 1 is held at Bicester Gold Club, Oxfordshire. The cohort attends over a two day period including overnight accommodation. The course commences at 9:30 am and concludes mid-afternoon on the following day.
The objectives of Part 1 are to benefit those who attend through:
1. Understanding the key challenges and opportunities associated with major projects and major project leadership through discussion, personal reflection and case study.
2. An introduction to attitudes and ways of thinking in other organisations working in the major projects arena.
3. Developing a network of contacts with potential high flyers in other MPA member organisations and knowledge of the resources and activities of those organisations.
Attendance is free.
This is a very popular seminar and numbers are limited to one place per organisation in the first instance, subject to availability. These places must be taken up by the end of November. We only have 30 places on each cohort.
Professor Denise Bower, Executive Director of the Major Projects Association, will lead the seminar. All participants will stay overnight at the venue. There will be a guest speaker in the evening and the event will resume early the following day.
Please select your nominated person and complete and return the registration form. We are not imposing any selection criteria. Members should select people to attend who are expected to reach high level positions in their organisations.
Part 2 will be a follow-up afternoon session five months later and will be held in June 2020 in Central London – more details to follow.
