Assessing the sustainability of pavement design solutions

Summary

As part of the Olympic Delivery Authority’s (ODA’s) commitment to sustainability, the London 2012 Parklands project aimed to ensure that the most sustainable option was achieved for the large areas of paving required. A tool was developed to objectively assess 10 different paving types against a robust set of design, build and sustainability criteria
