Summary

London 2012 set up an independent body to carry out assurance over its sustainability programme and examines lessons for future major projects and events. This case study examines how the Commission for a Sustainable London 2012 was established and fulfilled its role of providing independent sustainability assurance over the entire London 2012 programme.
