Design Strategies for Products Containing Composite Materials in a Circular Economy

Summary

In this dissertation, JJ Joustra investigates how to design products for a circular economy using composite materials. This requires a new approach to product design. Products have to be designed for long life, reuse and recycling. Composite materials partly meet these requirements; they offer the potential for efficient material use and have a long product lifespan. However, there are still challenges considering their reuse and recycling.
