London 2012Designing river edges in the Olympic Park
Summary
There are several waterways in the Olympic Park that are central to its planning and design. The River Engineer worked with the landscape architect’s team of ecologists, hydrologists, soil scientists and others, from concept to design of the river edges, the wetlands and wet woodlands. The features ensure flood resilience, enhanced biodiversity and visual appeal.
