Health and safety induction for Games workforce

Summary

The development and delivery of the health and safety induction was a significant component in providing the workforce with an understanding of the vision of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) to provide a ‘harm free environment’ for everyone involved in the creation, development, delivery and ultimate enjoyment of the London 2012 Games. The challenge was to provide consistent health and safety information which engaged the LOCOG workforce (including volunteer Games Makers and contractors) with the concept of the ‘harm free environment’.
