Creating a Workforce Fit to Deliver Major Projects

In the first in his series of short, ‘Lessons from our Archive’ interviews, Dr. Frederick Levy of Turner & Townsend introduces the associated report from this seminar, explains why he has chosen to discuss this report, and outlines the thinking behind his choice.

How Health and Safety Learned to Address Mental Health

In his second short interview, Dr. Frederick Levy of Turner & Townsend discusses the perspective the report gives to what, at that stage, was an emerging understanding of workplace mental health and how our thinking about health has changed over the last 20 years.

We Need to Start Training People Differently

Frederick highlights the way health and safety training has progressed to now encompass workplace well-being and psychological safety and considers whether we need a similar level of sophistication in the way we train and develop people in other areas too.

The Potential for Practising and Simulation

In his final video, Frederick picks up on the idea of practising, highlighted in the report following the seminar. He reflects on how the advent of digital make this so much easier and how the increasing complexity of many programmes makes them ideal candidates for practice and rehearsal.
