London 2012 Ceremonies Ltd (L2012C) was formed in 2010 for the sole purpose of producing the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the Olympic and Paralympic Games which mark the official beginning and ending of each Games. They involve music, dance and theatre representative of the culture and history of the Host Nation and some protocol moments. This case study describes how L2012C embedded sustainability as part of the plans and delivery for the Olympic and Paralympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
