Summary
The design of the utilities networks on the Olympic Park had to accommodate the differing demand profiles and resilience requirements of both the short-term London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games mode and the longer term, after the Games mode. Lifetime variable resilience and negative capacity growth profiles, coupled with evolving demand requirements required innovative design and technical approaches.
